WHAT DOES WOMAN OF VALUE MEAN TO YOU?
She’s someone who sources herself from her values.
YOUR ‘AHA’ WOMAN OF VALUE MOMENT
I went through a phase in my twenties when I moved out of my parents’ home, and I had free time on the weekends. I began having feelings that were overwhelming. I explored those feelings and discovered that connection was important to me. I had blocked emotions. I began with meditation. I had seen my dad meditate daily, but he had never taught me.
My intuition started to speak to me clearly. That was my first turning point. It guided me to the Watkins Bookstore, which is dedicated to everything metaphysical. I got into the work of personal transformation from there. I began to hear my own inner guide.
I went to India for six months without a plan, following my inner voice. I began to trust my inner voice. I became centered. As a yoga teacher, I share simple ways of calming the mind using simple breathing.
THE PRESENT
Today, I have a coaching practice and lead programs of transformation. I teach yoga and I’m a hard core yogi. I’m creating new content on my YouTube channel. I like sharing the content of the books and the value they bring about listening to the internal voice.
THE FUTURE
I’m excited by the unfolding that’s taking place. I love taking on challenges and becoming good at them.
THE LIGHTNING ROUND
I used to think I wasn’t good enough.
What was the #1 thing holding you back from becoming a woman
of value? Trusting myself.
What’s the best advice you can give to a woman who wants to
become more empowered? Don’t listen to your feelings. Feel things, but don’t listen to the fleeting, temporary feelings. Don’t listen to people who misguide you, even if they are people you love.
What advice would you give to your younger self? I want her to know she is so courageous and brave. People will tell her there’s a lot wrong with her, but don’t listen.
What’s something people get wrong about you? People see my confidence and assume I don’t care about them.
How would you like to be remembered? As someone who genuinely made a positive difference and helped your journey.
